I am fascinated by the complexity of the human body. My paintings attempt to bring to light the beauty in our anatomy and in the underlying mechanisms of life. In this series I take aspects of anatomy and superimpose them on the human form. I experiment with vivid colors and composition in order to bring to light the beauty of the human anatomy which is often thought of as uncanny and morbid. Using the anatomy, colors, and facial expressions I express various emotions.

I find that the underlying structures of life grounds me and helps connect me to all life and brings a sense of unity. In this way I have found a sense of spirituality through science. This piece above tries to convey this as the veins reaching out are symbolic of the connections to other life.

The following paintings are various portraits I've created. In these works I experimented with various mediums and styles in order to develop my own painting style. The portraits use different colors and strokes to convey the essence of the people in the portraits.
